annabeth goes to new rome for university, but barely makes it a year into her education before she drops out. discontent, she returns to chb to try and reorient herself. she cuts herself off from the gods, takes ownership of a plot of land by chb, and gets to work doing what she knows-- she builds.it starts as a solo project, but eventually, others begin helping annabeth. the nymphs living in chb and some other demigods, as well as the cyclopes begin working with annabeth, and work increases.during this time, she met the norse demigod cenric mathison. they briefly dated, and annabeth's son was conceived during this time. cenric was not involved in her life after an amicable breakup, and annabeth raised her son luca thalein chase on her own.after years of work, new athens was finally complete-- a beautiful city of marble where the greeks can live in peace. it takes eight years to finish, and once it's done, annabeth takes over as its leader, and runs new athens.

for carlisle, life began twice. his human life began in london, england, where he was the son of a pastor during a time of religious and political radicalism. it was here that he learned of the superstition and hatred that existed within humanity, and the ugliness of humans. his father preached the word of god, but carlisle was never settled in how those words were carried out in anger and prejudice, even if that prejudice was at times turned towards the supernatural.

effie was only ever meant to be pretty. as the daughter of two prominent socialites in the capitol, effie grew up in the high society of panem. her view of the world was clouded by the trappings of luxury, and for a time, nothing else existed except her pretty dresses and baubles.she had a classic upbringing for a capitol child, numbed to the violence of the games to the point of delusion. everything good and safe went away without the games-- who was she to argue? it made sense when she'd grown up knowing and hearing nothing else, and she was kept in her little bubble of privilege far away from the violence and reality of the games.until, that is, her sister called her in a panic and asked her for help, and effie trinket found herself face-to-face with the tributes of district 12. proserpina's presence brought in the protective side of the eldest trinket child, and effie extended that same energy to the tributes of the 50th games as she helped them through as their stylist and pseudo-handler.as it turns out, she was a natural. effie spent the next several years building a reputation for herself as a capable and pretty life of any party. she got engaged to an older and socially acceptable man of a good family, taking a break from her reality once a year to help out where she was needed for the social side of the games, far away from the arena.when effie heard that the old handler for district 12 tributes was stepping down, she applied without hesitation to take over. she was an obvious choice-- pretty, personable, and efficient. soon enough, she was on the train to 12 for the 74th games.

effie wasn't willing to accept defeat, no matter how much people told her not to get her hopes up about her tributes making it more than a day in the arena. she helped haymitch get sponsors for katniss and peeta to get them through the games. she thought she would feel joy when they won, but she didn't. she felt relief, then pity.she decided not to take her offered promotion to work with another district. she would stay with her victors, and when she pulled their names again at the reaping for the quarter quell, she knew she would do whatever it took to get them through this. if it meant saying goodbye to pretty things, she could live with that.when the rebels fled the capitol after the 75th games and went to district 13, effie was alongside them without a second thought. perhaps it should've surprised her more, taken more time to consider, but she didn't even need to be asked to go.her loyalty was never to the capitol. it was to her sister, calling her crying that she was going to fail. it was to peeta, who never ridiculed her even when the others laughed. it was to katniss, who was so much like her keeping her love close to her chest. it was to haymitch, the boy from 12 who had helped her pick up her makeup bag because he was kind.after the war, effie returned to the capitol, and eventually organized funds to be sent to help rebuild district 12. the world was a very different one after the war, but one thing remained the same, no matter how many years passed and no matter how much changed-- effie would always take care of her victors.

GLASS DON'T BEND. it breaks. au where effie remains in the capitol after catching fire. she tries to figure out how to rescue peeta, but she's in over her head. effie's just one person, and when she's found trying to get word to haymitch, she's taken captive by snow. she's questioned for information she doesn't have, and when she can't give it.... effie's always been a vain person. when the tributes are rescued, effie is taken with them, face disfigured and resolve broken. she is not a vengeful woman, but she's never been one to give up. more tba.THE BALLAD. there's not too many differences in this verse from effie's original verse, only that it takes place during tbosas.

hades barely got a life before he was born. son of the titan kronos, hades' childhood was cut short when his father consumed him. hades and his siblings lived in darkness for the first years of their lives, until their brother zeus freed them. when the war to overthrow their father was done, hades was given dominion of the underworld.it felt like an improvement to everything he'd ever known. hades started building something worth calling his own.but still, he craved the sky. it was during one of his trips up top that he met persephone. it was instant love

for hades. when he asks her to run away with him, she goes without hesitation.the other gods wouldn't allow it. so they made a deal, that persephone would spend half of the year up top. but over time, the distance wore down their relationship. hades began to focus on other pursuits-- building the factories, putting the shades to work, creating the electric city. his estrangement from persephone pput a strain on the world. it wasn't until orpheus' arrival that things started changing. hades saw his flaws, and began to try to heal.

harij grew up traveling around ravka and performing acrobatics with his family. when he was twelve, he was captured by slavers along with his sister, inej. he was bought by a merchant in ravka, and worked for him for several years before escaping. he fled south and took refuge in shu han before eventually setting out to try to find inej.

he spent the next year on the move, constantly changing locations and going by various names to try and ensure he's not being tracked down.he eventually heard of his sister inej being part of a gang in ketterdam, and does his best to reunite with her. the rest is plot dependent. more tba.

harwin is the eldest son of lyonel strong and heir to harrenhal. he spent his younger years there before he came to king's landing with his father. he became a knight, and later a member of the king's guard. he takes over as its captain after daemon leaves.he eventually began an affair with rhaenyra targaryen, and fathered three of her children during his time as her sworn protector.

eventually, however, his affair became too much of a distraction, and his father decided that he had to return to harrenhal to take up his duties there as its lord. he and his father were both killed in a fire.harwin's story tends to continue as a default for me in his survival verse, which can be found below. it doesn't fuck with canon all that much in my opinion, but i'm biased bc i love him.

iphthime never met her father. she was born six months after the king of ithaca departed for war, and raised alongside her older brother, telemachus. iphthime's childhood is vibrant and full of life, and she's just the same. she is very close to her paternal grandmother and aunt, and competitive against her brother. penelope raises her children under spartan principles since that's how she was raised.when penelope stalls the suitors with her ruse of finishing the funeral shroud of odysseus, penelope opts to send her daughter away from ithaca and away from the attention of the suitors. helen and menelaus gladly take in iphthime as their ward, and continue to raise her under spartan principles.reality becomes a lot more intimidating here. with tales of the war and menelaus' stories of having to reclaim mycenae after his father had been overthrown, iphthime has to start thinking of the possibility that her mother and brother could be chased from ithaca if the suitors get too bold.

so she learns. the playful child she once was is abandoned, and iphthime becomes much more serious and disciplined. she will do whatever it takes to keep her family safe, and if she cannot, then to take revenge for their loss. she trains in archery among other things, and impatiently waits for word from her family in the hopes that she can return home to a peaceful ithaca.telemachus collects iphthime from sparta when he travels there during the telemachy, and brings her back to ithaca with him. there, they are reunited with their father, and iphthime is present as odysseus kills the suitors, away from the fighting but armed with her bow. the rest of her family is fighting to reclaim their home-- she is glad to do the same.iphthime spends time with her father, discovering how much the two of them have in common and glad to hear his stories. she is content to remain home in ithaca, not wanting to miss another moment in her beloved homeland. more tba.

marin's birth was yet another insult to house royce. with the marriage between rhea and daemon targaryen unconsummated, the fact that a white-haired bastard was born in runestone less than a year after daemon left for dragonstone did not go unnoticed by house royce.rhea held no true malice towards the child, but decided to send marin to live with her cousin gerold royce as his ward to keep her out of the public eye and ire. marin grew up in the eyrie, aware of her lineage but unwilling to make any claim towards it. lord royce was as good as her father in her eyes, and her loyalty remained firmly with house royce.rhea's unexpected death rattled marin greatly, and gerold's suspicion that daemon was responsible tainted her good will towards the royal family as a whole. marin noted gerold's ire, and feared for her future as daemon's bastard when he held such a negative place in the eyrie. his attempt to claim runestone scared her, but it did not last.

while he didn't face any punishment for rhea's death, daemon's departure from westeros was good enough. gerold made the decision to legitimize marin, but as a royce, not a targaryen. with no children of his own to carry his name, marin was made his heir, and was welcomed to accompany delegates from the eyrie to king's landing to keep an eye on the interests of house royce and lady arryn's rule as wardeness of the vale. during this time, she formed a friendship with the royal family. while marin was proud to be claimed by house royce, she knew that part of it was most likely to offend daemon with the succession of runestone.at some point, marin claims a dragon she names mistweaver. more on this tba.marin is uncertain about allying herself with daemon, even if she supports rhaenyra's claim to the throne. more on this depends on her relationship with daemon through verses, but generally she remains loyal to rhaenyra. more tba as i figure it out.

meg was born medhavi jaitley to a french mother and indian father, and caught in her mother's meddling from her first breath. her father, vihaan, was from a family of good standing in india, and had come to france to invest in the arts. he swiftly fell in love with a young ballerina, claudine pryor, and the two soon married and had a daughter together. medhavi was her father's delight and joy. he wanted her to have a good life, so when his wife pressured him to invest in an opera house, he took the leap for his family and his daughter.meg doesn't know what happened to her father, only that he was there one day and gone the next. it upset her mother to speak of, so she did not ask. claudine changed their name to one more french, trading in jaitley for giry, and the family transformation was solidified when she took control of the opera house as its lead creative instructor with a talent for finding those who shine on stage.

nico was born in 1934 in the height of mussolini's fascist regime in italy. war was not kind to the di angelo family, and maria raised nico and his sister bianca as best as she could. but in 1943 with the fall of mussolini and the declaration of an armistice between italy and america, the di angelos fled to washington d.c. to try and start a new life where they would be safe.but safety was simply a dream to them. the end of the great war brought about the great prophecy, and the pact of the big three along with it. zeus demanded that the siblings be sent to chb, but neither hades nor maria trusted his intentions. the deadline came and went, and the consequences of their defiance was maria's life. hades took his two children and put them in the lotus hotel, where they remained frozen in time for nearly 70 years.they were freed after that, and sent to westover hall-- a military school-- where they remained for a year before finding out they're demigods. bianca joined the hunters of artemis, and nico went to chb. he spent two quiet weeks there before news of bianca's death reached him. his grief and anger led him to flee, and with that, nico simply vanished.nico fled to the labyrinth, and it was there that he eventually met minos. minos trained nico to strengthen his natural abilities as a son of hades, but when minos betrayed nico, nico banished him to the underworld. he took on the title of the ghost king, and

icarius of sparta never wanted a daughter. he prayed to the gods to grant him a son-- a child of the naiad perioboea, a half god to carry on his legacy. but penelope was born instead. infuriated, icarius threw his daughter from the cliffside by the palace and into the sea. periboea ran to the water to try to find her daughter, but by the time she got down the cliffside, penelope was returned safely to the shore and resting in a duck's nest. she was taken back to the palace and given the name penelope. the little duckling that seemed blessed by the gods themselves.

i'm tired and i'll write a more comprehensive bio for him at some point, but all you really need to know is that poseidon is one of the olympians who was an appetizer child of kronos. he was consumed, and lived in darkness until he was freed by his brother zeus. he participated in the overthrowing of kronos, and took his place as god of the sea after their victory.

he is a harsh but fair ruler of his domain, and often is viewed as cruel for his judgments. his hatred of odysseus of ithaca is a prime example, and he's got no issue with punishing those who wrong him or his family.poseidon usually tries to keep himself out of disputes in the world that don't take place in his realm, but will occasionally venture out to the mortal world.

THE WILD WOLF. after house umber take rickon and osha as hostages, osha helps rickon to escape after they're given to the boltons. eventually, rickon is found by a raiding party of free folk. they take rickon back to hardhome with them. rickon ends up embracing his life at hardhome, and things begin to feel like they might be alright again. he might have a real chance to start over here and make a proper future for himself.that future was once again stolen from him when hardhome was evacuated, but rickon is able to get onto one of the boats and flee with the others. to his shock, he’s reunited with not just jon, but sansa as well. rickon rejects any claim he might have to winterfell, and chooses to support his sister as warden of the north.

satine is the eldest child of house kryze, and the pride of her family from her first steps. an avid politician and ever-curious student, satine quickly caused ripples as she entered the political atmosphere of her planet.she supported and joined the new mandalorians as she got older, believing her planet had to learn to change or it would die. satine promoted peace in mandalore, trying to settle the civil war tearing the planet apart.satine becoming the leader of the new mandalorians caused chaos for her. her father was assassinated, and satine, now a duchess, was put under the protection of the jedi. qui-gon jinn and his apprentice obi wan kenobi were responsible for keeping her safe, and moved her off-planet until the situation was more stabilized.

seril's life was always meant to go in one direction, ever since she was young-- she would serve the monarch of naboo like her mother. it was a noble tradition for the aldiris family, and even though seril did not carry the family name, she accepted the responsibilities of their legacy as a ward of the family.when she was old enough, seril joined the handmaidens of padme amidala, and was a decoy for the young queen during her time as monarch of naboo.it had been seril's intention to continue to serve the next queen, but her brother elduin was chosen

shireen was a miracle. after her three elder siblings-- all boys-- were stillborns, shireen being born as a healthy baby girl was a blessing. however, when she was still a child, she contracted greyscale. her father stannis did everything he could to cure her, and by another miracle, the greyscale stopped spreading. she was permanently scarred, but it was a mark of honor for young shireen, and one that showed she was a fighter just as much as her father.when the war of the five kings begins, shireen travels with her father's army during his pursuit for the throne. she studies and prepares in anticipation of her possible ascension to the throne. often ignored as a child, her studies had always been a comfort and an asset to her, and she continued those studies as she moved from camp to camp with her father.

she did not share stannis' radical views when it came to the lord of light, but kept her disapproval of it to herself as much as she could. she did her best to be a good daughter-- to be a good princess, with the promise of one day being a good queen. she would make her family proud, and do whatever it took to help stannis.but shireen's greatest threat ended up being her father. persuaded into sacrificing her, stannis commanded that shireen be burned at the stake. her king's blood was more important than her place as his daughter. shireen learned how far stannis would go to rule the seven kingdoms. more than that, though, she realized how expendable she was to him.but the lord of light had other plans. when the fires died down, shireen remained, unburnt. there was still more for shireen baratheon to do, and she was no longer afraid to do it.

RIDER of GREY GHOST. during the dance of dragons, prince jacaerys velaryon promised a knighthood and lands to anyone who could master a dragon and become its rider. shireen had no plan on doing so, but her father stannis was determined to win this honor for their family. he took shireen and they traveled to dragonstone, where he searched in vain for any sign of the wild dragons there.during one of those times, she spotted the wild dragon grey ghost. eventually, he stopped flying away when he saw her, and she was able to approach him. there was an instant connection the moment they were face-to-face; grey ghost lowered his shoulder, and shireen climbed onto his back. their bond was forged in that first flight, and they became inseparable after that. post on grey ghost can be found here.to match the show more closely, shireen is one of the individuals that claims a dragon around 2x05 when the other dragonseeds claim their dragons. she claims a wild dragon and leaves her family to join rhaenyra's cause.
